  1. Introduction

At TaskRuns, we are on a mission to connect individuals seeking assistance with small tasks and favors (“Requesters”) and those offering to provide such assistance (“Taskers”). We do this by connecting the Users  of our mobile application (our “App”), allowing them to post requests and reply to those requests. 

This Privacy Policy (this “Policy”) describes how Task Runs LLC (“TaskRuns”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, processes, retains, uses, discloses, and transfers the personal data and information shared with us by the users of our App (including, but not limited to, Requesters and Taskers, “Users”, “you”, or “your”). This Policy is designed to help you better understand and obtain information about our privacy practices and to help you understand your choices as they relate to your personal data and information.

This Policy applies to your use of our App, the services available to you via our App, and any email, text, and other electronic communications between you and TaskRuns. This Policy does not apply to information we collect offline or by any other means or information collected by affiliates or any other third parties, which may have their own privacy policies.

By using the App, you confirm that you have read and understand this Policy and the other terms and conditions applicable to the App from time-to-time (the “Terms and Conditions”). If you do not agree with any part of this Policy or the Terms and Conditions, please do not access or use our App or submit electronic communications to us.

  1. Our Commitment to Privacy

TaskRuns is strongly committed to protecting the privacy of its Requesters, Taskers, and other Users of our App. This commitment extends to those communicating with TaskRuns through telephone calls, electronic mail, text messages, oral communication, and other means of communication.

  1. Collection of Information
  • Personal Information. TaskRuns collects certain personally identifiable information about you, including information that identifies, relates to, describes, is associated with you, is reasonably capable of being associated with you, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with you (collectively, “Personal Information”). Personal Information does not include information that is publicly available as defined by applicable privacy legislation or is anonymized.

Examples of Personal Information that TaskRuns may collect from you include but are not limited to:

  • Contact Information, which may include your first and last name, address, location, telephone number, and email address;
  • Billing Data, including your payment instrument number (such as credit or debit card number), expiration date, and security code, as necessary to process your payments;
  • Identifying Information, including date of birth, gender; and
  • Copies of government identification, including driver’s licenses, and photographs;

In addition, if you apply to be a Tasker, we may collect additional Personal Information from you in accordance with our policies and procedures in place from time to time.

As a Requester or a Tasker, it is always your choice whether or not to provide Personal Information. If you choose not to provide requested Personal Information, you may not be able to use certain features of the App.

  • Technical Information. TaskRuns may collect and use technical data and related Information, such as Information about your device, system and application software, peripherals, and other data related to your interactions with the App (“Technical Information”). TaskRuns owns all Technical Information and may use it for any lawful purpose.
  • Location Information. We also collect Information about your geographic location from you or your device, including your country, region, city, ZIP code, street address, time zone, latitude, longitude, and horizontal position representation Information (“Location Information”).
  • Order information and Other Voluntary Disclosures. Certain features of the App are designed to display information you choose to provide to other users (such as texts between Users and Taskers). Please keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily disclose information by ordering or offering services or otherwise providing such information through the App (including, for example, if you provide building or security codes to a Tasker), that information can be seen by those users or third parties to whom you send that information. We are not responsible for the security or privacy of any information you choose to submit in connection with these features.
  1. Use of Information

Except as described in this Policy, Personal Information, Technical Information, and Location Information (collectively, “Information”) that you provide or that we collect will be kept confidential and used to support your relationship with TaskRuns.

We may use your Information, including your Personal Information, as follows:

  • For order and delivery purposes;
  • To verify your age and identity, for example when purchasing age-restricted products or applying to become a Tasker.
  • To enable you to participate in interactive features of the Service or the Apps (such as communications between Requesters and Taskers);
  • To provide services to you;
  • To improve, test, measure, update, and monitor TaskRuns and its Taskers’ products, services, and communications for a better user experience;
  • To communicate with you, including about the App or your account;
  • To market or promote the App or products and services of TaskRuns’s affiliates. Under no circumstances will your phone number or data obtained through any short code program be shared without your consent with any external third parties for marketing reasons;
  • To personalize your experience (for example, we may personalize the content and features you see when visiting or otherwise using the App. In addition, we may personalize advertisements, marketing communications, and recommendations to make them more tailored to your interests); and
  • For any other purpose we may describe when you provide information, or to which you otherwise consent.

In addition, TasksRuns and its third-party partners may also use the Information to: remember your Information so you will not have to re-enter it during a subsequent visit; help you efficiently access your Information after you sign in; diagnose or fix technology problems; for security and fraud prevention purposes, including without limitation identifying and distinguishing between fraudulent and legitimate transactions; and to maintain legal and regulatory compliance (for example, to pay our taxes, fulfill our business obligations, or otherwise manage legal risks or comply with applicable laws).

  1. Information Sharing

Except as described in this Policy, Task Runs does not share, rent, or sell your Personal Information with third parties.

TaskRuns or its agents, vendors, or contractors may disclose Information, including your Personal Information, to third parties in the following circumstances:

  • To our third-party service providers, agents, vendors, or contractors that we use to support the operations of our business including the App and who are required to keep the Information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them. Such purposes include but are not limited to payment processing, advertising services, marketing services, web analytics, data processing, IT services, User support, and other services;
  • To our affiliates for business purposes (provided that these entities will also be required to comply with the terms of this Policy with regard to their use of your Information);
  • If required to do so by law, comply with legal process or to comply with a governmental or regulatory request;
  • To protect and defend the rights or property of TaskRuns or its agents or contractors;
  • To enforce this Policy, our Terms and Conditions, or other TaskRuns agreements;
  • To act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the App, or the public;
  • As part of a transaction or potential transaction where TaskRuns or any of its affiliates merges with another organization, files for bankruptcy, or sells its assets or capital stock;
  • When you place an order, we will provide the following Information to the Tasker that fulfills your order: your name, phone number, order details, and Location Information so the Tasker can fulfill your order and communicate with you about your order; and
  • With your consent, we may share or disclose Information as you have directed or approved elsewhere.
  1. Information Security

We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to protect your Personal Information. These safeguards include storing your Personal Information on our secure servers behind firewalls and using encryption technology. Through the use of third-party technologies, we collect your credit card Information; however, such Information is encrypted so it is not visible to TaskRuns.

  1. Third-party Websites, Services, and Technologies

We may provide links to third-party websites on the App or in other communications to you. These links may appear as a specific domain name or URL or may be activated by clicking on an advertisement or other icon or graphic. Please be aware that other websites and services, including the websites of third parties you connect with through the App, may collect personally identifiable Information about you. We cannot control and are not responsible for the Information collection practices of any third-party websites, services, or applications. We encourage you to carefully review their terms of use, privacy policies, and any other legal notifications before using or providing Information through such websites, services, or applications.

Further, the App may utilize third-party technologies that require you to accept such third party’s terms. This Policy does not cover the information practices of those third-party technologies.

  1. Children’s privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect Information from children under 13. If you believe that we may have collected Information from a child under the age of 13, please contact us via this link.

  1. Information choices and changes

We may need to communicate with you about the App, and we may want to make certain commercial offers available to you from time to time. As such, you consent to receive commercial messages (whether by phone, email, text, or push notifications) from us or our third-party partners, and acknowledge and agree that your primary phone numbers and email addresses and other Information may be used for the purpose of initiating commercial messages. We will allow you to opt out of receiving commercial messages, but in order to stop receiving any messages from us whatsoever (including administrative messages regarding the Service or messages that are primarily about transactions enabled via the Service), you will need to terminate your account. 

  1. Deletion and Retention of Personal Information

You have a right to request that we delete Personal Information we have collected about you. If you wish to exercise this right, please contact privacy@taskruns.com. Notwithstanding the foregoing, TaskRuns reserves the right to retain certain Personal Information to the extent required or permitted by applicable laws or regulations.

  1. Changes to this Policy

We reserve the right, in our discretion, to supplement, or change this Policy and implement new or revised privacy policies from time to time. The most recent version of our Policy can be found on our App. The date this Privacy Statement was last updated is at the top of this page. We therefore recommend that users visit this website regularly to learn more about the information we process. If we materially change the way we process users’ information or if we need to notify our users of a material change to the information we hold about them, we will contact those users by emailing such users or otherwise notifying them in writing.

By continuing to access our App or our other products and services, or do not opt out of sales and marketing communications, after changes to this Policy become effective, you agree to be bound by the terms of the revised Policy.

  1. Legal Disclaimer

Freedom Solar, as opposed to any of its officers, employees, or agents in their personal capacities, is solely responsible for all content and information that we post on our Digital Products.

  1. Periodic Communications

TaskRuns may send periodic communications to our Users and prospective Users to surveys or other submission forms for the purpose of distributing information about our products and services, company news and updates, promotions, and other opportunities. By emailing privacy@taskruns.com, you may opt-out of receiving such communications at any time.

You may request to have your Personal Information deleted from our database or opt-out from all TaskRuns correspondence in the following ways:

  1. How Long Do We Keep Your Personal Information?

TaskRuns keeps your Personal Information for as long as necessary for the purposes mentioned in this Policy, including for the fulfillment of our contractual and legal obligations and for as long as you do not opt-out of communications from us or request that we delete your Personal Information. We may also process and retain information for other purposes, if and/or for as long as the law allows us to retain it for certain purposes. This includes defense against possible legal claims.

If you request that we delete your Personal Information in accordance with the provisions outlined above, we’ll do our best to carry out your request as soon as possible, but we cannot promise deletion will occur within a specific timeframe. In addition, there may be circumstances where we will not be able to honor your request. For example, if you request 100% deletion, we may still need to retain certain personal information to complete a transaction you initiated, to comply with legal and/or regulatory obligations, to notify you of product, service, or safety issues, to service your already-installed solar system or energy storage device(s), if we become aware of abuse or other violations of our terms and conditions in effect from time to time, or for other permitted purposes. If you request that we delete your Personal Information, it may affect our ability to provide you with products and services.
